Whenever you share any part of your public life on websites like Twitter and happen to be a famous, everything you post is going to be looked at under a microscope. So when actress Demi Moore started out on a chain of curious tweets, many rumor outlets started wondering aloud if she and Ashton Kutcher are headed toward a break up.
Almost a week ago Demi posted, “When we are offended at any man’s fault, turn to yourself and study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger.” It is a quotation from Epictetus, so on its own it’s relatively harmless.
3 days later, however, Demi shared a photograph of herself looking distraught with the caption “I can see through you.” Um, ok?
To make it worse, earlier in the month she added cryptic notes “trying to find the light I lost” and “Remember…you’ve got your own back.”
To us, it seems like Demi is experiencing a dark time in her life. Possibly it’s due to the fact that she’s promoting a Lifetime series about breast cancer entitled “Five,” of which she directed a portion. Even talking about cancer can be hard for many people- and it is likely that Demi met a lot of women dealing with breast cancer while working on the series.
Only with reported unfaithfulnesses and the New York Post alleging the marriage is in essence over, perhaps Demi’s evident depression is coming from her marital woes.
As if that were not enough, the producers of Two and a Half Men are really unhappy with Ashton Kutcher after he snuck in a laptop computer to use as a prop on the show – and covered it with stickers of companies he invests in.
“Very cool – @aplusk shows off @thehipmunk @chegg @foursquare @groupme stickers on Two and a Half Men PIC from @dens,” tweeted Foursquare CEO Dennis Crowley.
The Hollywood Reporter claims CBS plans on blurring out the stickers on feature broadcasts… and might ask the companies for an advertising fee!
