‘Batman’ villainess Francine York passes away

Francine York best known for her role as The Bookworm’s sexy sidekick, Lydia Limpet, in the 1960’s television series Batman has passed away at age 80 after a long battle with cancer.

The 1960s television star ’60s also appeared on various other shows including the Mindy Project as recently as 2015 in addition to as in TV classics such as The Odd Couple, Bewitched and Burke’s Law. She also worked in motion pictures including Elvis Presley’s Tickle Me (1965), The Doll Squad (1973) and received kudos for her work as Marilyn Monroe in Marilyn: Alive and Behind Bars (1992.)

York will also be remembered for her lavish Hollywood parties, in addition to as her decade-long partnership with director Vincent Sherman, who she lived with until his death back in 2006.

No funeral arrangements or even the names of her living next of kin have been released as of yet.
