Benedict Cumberbatch is set to return as ‘Doctor Strange’ in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’

Disney is official fan club D3 released a synopsis earlier today stating that Doctor Strange will appear in Marvel Studios upcoming “Thor: Ragnarok”.

In the past, there was a lot of speculation of other big-name Marvel characters being in the film like the Incredible Hulk but Doctor Strange being mentioned so mentioned so much and so early seems to imply that he will have more than just a minor cameo role in the film.

If you remember the post-credits scene in “Doctor Strange” actually showed Thor visiting Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum, with Strange promising to help Thor locate his adopted brother Loki so that both of them can make a return to Asgard.

“Thor: Raganorak” obviously will star Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Thor’s mischievous adopted brother Loki, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Sir Anthony Hopkins as Thor’s and Loki’s father Odin, Cate Blanchett as the villain Hela, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, and Karl Urban as Skurge. Additionally, Sam Neill who is probably best known for his role in “Jurassic Park” will also be joining the cast in an unannounced role.
