Bizarre Foods Host Ponders Running for Office

The host of Travel Channels Bizarre Foods Andrew Zimmern has showed over the years he was able to stomach things that would even make a Billy goat puke and now the television star is pondering something that very few people have an appetite for: political office.

"I'm going to run for public office in Minnesota," Zimmern, star of Travel Channel's "Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern," said during an interview Thursday at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival. "What level? I don't know. But I don't want to be a celebrity governor or anything like that."

Yeah, were pretty sure Minnesota's hand enough of those after former professional wrestler and current conspiracy theory nut Jesse Ventura served as governor in the late 90s and former SNL star Al Franken is currently serving as one of the states US senators.

Zimmern goes on to say that once his television food career is over, he might run for city Council or some other local position as a way of giving back not seeking the spotlight.
