Chicago Bears player Ray McDonald arrested for hitting woman holding a baby

Chicago Bears player Ray McDonald was arrested for allegedly hitting a lady holding a baby.

Chalk one up to another dumb athlete in the NFL. Chicago Bears defensive Ray McDonald end is the latest football player to allegedly commit domestic violence since the league created the new domestic violence rule.

Police responded to McDonald’s home around 3:45 AM today after a call came in saying that McDonald struck an unidentified woman who had an infant in her arms. Cops tracked down McDonald and charged him with misdemeanor domestic violence and child endangerment. Police are not releasing the victim’s name.

Once they heard the news the Chicago Bears acted quickly releasing McDonald, who earlier this year signed a one-year deal. GM Ryan Pace said, “We were very clear what our expectations were,” and he did not meet them.

The NFL has yet another PR nightmare on its hands and needs to find a way to curtail off the field violence especially towards women and children.
