We know Cleveland rocks, but we’re also about to find out if Cleveland dances.
Drew Carey joins 11 other new cast members on ABC’s "Dancing with the Stars," including Billy Dee Williams, two child stars (Danica McKeller of "The Wonder Years" and Candace Cameron-Bure of "Full House"), reality Housewife NeNe Leakes and several athletes for the 18th season of "Dancing with the Stars."
Carey may be best known for his comedy and taking over for iconic "Price Is Right" host Bob Barker, but plenty have taken notice of how much weight he’s lost.
That’s part of the reason he’s doing the show.
He told "Dancing" hosts Erin Andrews and Tom Bergeron he’s wanted to do something like this since he started dropping the pounds.
After being partners for years, Winter Olympic ice skating champions Charlie White and Meryl Davis skate into the show as competitors.
They aren’t the only dancers with time on the ice. Former pro hockey player Sean Avery will be out on the dance floor as well.
They’re joined by snowboarder Amy Purdy, actor/singer James Maslow, singer Cody Simpson and long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad.
Here’s a list of the professional dancers they will be paired with:
–Amy Purdy with Derek Hough
–Meryl Davis with Maksim Chmerkovskiy
–Charlie White with Sharna Burgess
–Candace Cameron-Bure with Mark Ballas
–Drew Carey with Cheryl Burke
