Up until now the only information about the case was that Jared allegedly possessed child pornography, but the case has now become far more serious. According to reports between 2010 and 2013, Jared traveled between Indiana and New York City to engage in paid sexual acts with minors.
The report also says that there are text messages with one of the 14 minor victims, Jared allegedly said he would accept a 16-year-old girl while stating “in the text “younger the girl, the better”
Jared also allegedly asked for nude pictures to be text to him of the minor girls.
The report also says that authorities have discovered both boys and girls involved in the case. It is unclear of the gender of whom he had sex with.
Part of the case involves images Fogle received from Russell Taylor, the head of Fogle’s foundation. According to the complaint, Taylor sent Fogle photos of and videos from hidden cameras in Taylor’s house, featuring children as young as 6.
Under the plea deal, Fogle agreed to serve at least 5 years in prison and must pay restitution of $1.4 million — $100,000 per victim. And he must register as a sex offender.
Part of Fogle’s punishment … he can’t possess obscene materials, he must participate in a sexual disorders program, can’t have unsupervised meetings with minors, and his computers will be subject to random checks.
Fogle turned himself into the FBI today and he’s currently being processed.
