What is being called the biggest moneymaking fight of all time is official. Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will put on their boxing gloves and fight each other at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 26, 2017.
The fight which had been rumored for quite some time became official today as Conor McGregor actually was able to lure boxing legend and the seemingly unbeatable Floyd “Money” Mayweather out of retirement to take him on. So now we will see who is the best pugilist as we have an MMA Star versus a Boxing Star set to fight one another.
The president of the UFC Dana White appeared on SportsCenter and said the Showtime pay-per-view boxing match will be fought at boxing’s junior middleweight weight limit of 154 pounds and the boxers will be using 10-ounce gloves.
Las Vegas oddsmakers are ready heavily favor Mayweather as current odds happen to have Mayweather a -1,100 favorite at the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas, with McGregor paying back +700. I personally do not like Floyd Mayweather but really don’t see an MMA fighter is not used to boxing defeating him.
If you’re a boxing fan or an MMA fan you definitely need to have August 26th circled on your calendar because this fight is going to make history.
