Helena Bonham Carter Named CBE by Queen Elizabeth

Helena Bonham Carter, whose regal movie roles have included playing the mother of Queen Elizabeth II in "The King's Speech" and for the Red Queen in "Alice in Wonderland", was given an esteemed honor by Queen Elizabeth today.

Carter was made a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) by the British Monarch for her for services to drama. The ceremony was held today at Buckingham palace and her husband director Tim Burton, and children Billy Ray,8, and Nell,4, were able to watch on as the Queen bestowed her with the honor.
