Locks of John Lennon’s hair sale for $35,000

A lucky bidder is going home with some of John Lennon’s hair — a few of the most notable locks to ever reach the auction block — and he paid big money for them.
Heritage Auction in Dallas, Texas had the 4-inch clump of John Lennon’s hair after a hairstylist cut it off prior to his role in a 1967 film called, “How I Won The War.” According to reports, Paul Fraser, a UK-based memorabilia collector was the highest bidder at $35k.
$35k may seem like a lot of money to the average Joe … but as far a John Lennon memorabilia goes, it is loose change. His ‘sixty-five Rolls Royce Phantom V sold for $2.23 million and lyrics to “All You Need is Love” cleared one hundred twenty-five million.
That’s some pricy hair.
