Monkees Star Davy Jones Dead at Age 66




The lead singer of the Monkees, Davy Jones, who sung such hits as "Last Train to Clarksville" and "Daydream Believer" has died of an apparent heart attack at his home in Florida earlier this morning. Jones was just 66 years old.

The star is survived by his wife Jessica and four daughters from previous marriages.

Davy Jones is perhaps best known for his work as part of The Monkees with Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork.
