NBC’s much anticipated reboot of the Munsters Mockingbird Lane has finally cast its Lily Munster. The role of the famous vampire wife goes to none other than Portia de Rossi who is probably best known for playing Lindsay Bluth Fünke on Arrested Development.
Mockingbird Lane directed by Bryan Singer is described as a reinvention of the classic 60’s about The Munsters, a family of “monsters” — vampires, werewolves and Frankenstein, and their “plain” cousin. So in addition to Portia de Rossi the show has cast Jerry O’Connell to play Herman Munster, Charity Wakefield as Marilyn, Mason Cook as Eddie and Eddie Izzard plays Grandpa.
NBC needs a hit television show desperately and hopefully Mockingbird Lane doesn’t disappoint and is able to bring in a boat load of viewers for the struggling network.
