Music Icon Whitney Houston Dead At Age 48

Music superstar Whitney Houston, as pop music’s queen until her voice was ravaged by hard-core drug use and her regal behavior was ruined by her erratic behavior and a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown, died Saturday in her Los Angeles hotel room. She was just 48 years old.

Police have said there are no apparent signs of foul play and as of now her cause of death remains unknown. Reportedly she was found floating in a hotel bathroom with prescription bottles nearby. Those who knew Houston knew that before any major show like the one she was preparing to take part in she would begin taking Xanax pills to calm her nerves and it is quite possible that they contributed to her passing possibly causing her to fall asleep in the bathtub and then drown.

Whitney Houston’s life was glamorous but at the end of her career she became more of a cautionary tale to new artists in regards to staying away from bad influences and illegal drugs. Hopefully she will be able to find peace in the afterlife that she so desperately unsuccessfully searched for in this one.
