It looks like Christian Brole’s character Tom Levitt will have a lot more love songs to write in the upcoming season smash because his on-screen boyfriend Sam (Leslie Odom Jr.) has been reportedly promoted to a series regular on the show.
With Karen and Julia’s love interests departing the show and Ivy’s relationship with Derek being on the rocks at least one relationship has a shot at happily ever after.
The next season of smash is scheduled to return in January of 2013.
