Unable to land the reality television show she dreamed of Octomom Nadya Suleman has been forced to go on government assistance in order to feed her 14 children. If you recall back when she gave birth to the octuplets back in 2009 she swore she would never go on any type of government aid but apparently things change. Suleman is reportedly getting $2000 a month to buy food since her income is less than $8000 per household member per year.
Octomom recently posed topless in a British magazine for $8000 but that money apparently is long gone and it’s difficult to provide for that many people when you don’t even have a job.
“I have to do what I have to do to take care of my family,” she told CNN, “and I’m not ashamed.”
I agree that government assistance is nothing to be ashamed of, in fact many people rely on it to survive. I only have a problem with the fact that she purposely gave birth to multiples in hopes of using them to wrangle herself up a reality show about her brood. I just find them part of it disgusting. Hopefully, these kids don’t grow up to hate their mom or feel bitter about the fact that she pretty much just used them to get attention for herself.
