And the winner of the 1942 Academy award for original screenplay is… it could be you for the right amount of money. Well, not exactly but you do have the opportunity to own Orson Welles Oscar for cowriting ‘Citizen Kane” which many consider the greatest film ever produced by Hollywood.

The award goes to auction December 20 and carry a reserve price between $600,000 and $1 million when it goes up for sale this time.

It’s a rare opportunity to actually own an Oscar since the academy, which runs the awards, has banned winners from selling their Oscars for profit since 1950.
