George Clooney once vowed to never get married and for the longest time it looked as though he never would. Today, however George Clooney said goodbye to his bachelorhood and hello to the new Mrs. Clooney when he wed human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin at the Aman Canal Grande luxury resort in Venice, Italy. The star-studded event presided over by Walter Veltroni — former mayor of Rome had celebrities as far as the eye could seeing including the likes of Bono, Bill Murray and Matt Damon.
Clooney’s rep confirms the actor and Alamuddin will wrap up their eventful weekend fun with a civil ceremony on Monday, at which point they will officially and legally be man and wife.
Congratulations and best of luck to the two lovebirds!
