Musician Robin Thicke was arrested in Manhattan earlier today for marijuana possession.
The award-winning R&B singer was arrested at 12:25 p.m.E.S.T. by police officers who allegedly saw Thicke smoking a joint while sitting in a Cadillac Escalade near 3rd Ave. and E. 21st St., close to Gramercy Park.
“He wasn’t driving,” a police source said. “He was sitting in the car. He was arrested and a small amount of marijuana was recovered on him.”
Robin Thicke, 34, ( the son of Alan Thicke, who is best known for playing Jason Seaver in the long-running sitcom “Growing Pains.”) was in the Escalade with one other person, the police source said, but Thicke was the only one arrested and then charged with possession of marijuana.
The singer was amiable throughout the arrest, even going as far as posing and photographs with the police officers and signing autograph for them.
