Soul Train’s DON CORNELIUS Found Dead From A Apparent Suicide

 

Sad news today out of Los Angeles, Don Cornelius, the creator and man behind the long-running iconic television show “Soul Train” shot himself to death in his home this morning. Police officers responded reportedly shooting at Cornelius Mulholland drive home around four o'clock this morning discovered his body and he was pronounced dead upon arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at 4:56 AM.

"Soul Train" began in 1970 in Chicago on WCIU-TV as a local program and aired nationally from 1971 to 2006 and introduced audiences to many legendary musicians such as Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and Barry White.

There's no word yet if a note was found at the scene but you should remember the TV icon was plagued with health issues over the years including a stroke and a condition that required brain surgery. Cornelius was just 75 years old.
