Stage, Screen Actress Barbara Tarbuck Dies at 74




General Hospital actress Barbara Tarbuck has passed away at the age of 74.

Tarbuck passed away on Monday in her Los Angeles home. Tarbuck had suffered from Creutzfeldt-Jakob disorder, a rare, degenerative brain disease for awhile prior to her death.

Tarbuck played Jane Jacks on General Hospital, one of the actresses’ many television roles that also included Mother Superior Claudia on American Horror Story: Asylum.

Tarbuck was particularly proud of her theater work, including a role in the original eighties Broadway production of Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs.

Tarbuck is survived by her daughter Jennifer Lane Connolly, son-in-law Samuel Chawinga and grandsons Cianan and Cuinn Chawinga.

No funeral arrangements have been announced as of yet.
