82-year-old Star Trek actress Nichelle Nichols, reportedly has suffered a mild stroke.
Her manager, Zach McGinnis, announced the news on the actresses Facebook page earlier today.
“Last night while at her home in LA, Nichelle Nichols suffered a mild stroke,” wrote McGinnis. “She is currently undergoing testing to determine how severe the stroke was. Please keep her in your thoughts.”

Nichols played Lt. Uhura on the original Star Trek television series from 1966-1969 and reprised her role in six Star Trek films.
The actress is reportedly resting comfortably in a Los Angeles hospital after undergoing treatment and tests.
Hopefully, she continues to live long and prosper so don’t beam her up just yet Scottie.
