Fans of the popular new FOX television show 'Alcatraz' are beginning to become a problem for the people who work at the famed former worlds toughest prison. The National Park Service, which now runs the defunct prison, have been forced to put up signs calling for visitors who are poking around in closed off areas of the site to please not do so.
“The TV Show Alcatraz is fictional. Many areas depicted in the film are not real,” reads one sign on the premises.
The fictional TV show, which debuted this fall, features a secret laboratory underneath Alcatraz and other made-up locations and features that fascinated tourist viewers might be trying to get a better view of.
The only problem is, they do not exist. Park rangers also tweeted that there “are no tunnels like in The Rock either,” referring to the Nicolas Cage movie about Alcatraz of the same name.
Also before you ask No Al Capone isn't in a secret government prison looking just as he did in his prime. He really is dead last time we checked.
