Warner Bros. To Reboot Dukes Of Hazzard

As if one reboot wasn’t enough Warner Bros. has decided it’s time to once again reboot America’s favorite hillbilly’s by green lighting a reboot of the Dukes of Hazzard. dukes-of-hazzard-reboot

Warner Bros. has brought in Jody Hill (creator and director of Eastbound and Down and Observe and Report) to direct and write the currently untitled action film starring perhaps the most famous automobile of all time. The only details we know for sure right now about the movie is that the Dukes of Hazzard reboot will be set in the south all the way back in the 1970s and involves the “General Lee” and the outlaw Duke family.

Word is that Sean William Scott and Johnny Knoxville will not be reprising their roles as Bo and Luke Duke with those roles instead going to Danny McBride and Seth Rogen. One thing is for sure this film probably will be centered more around comedy than action. I really hope they decide to change their minds about making this a Dukes of Hazzard reboot and just make it an original film kind of like a cross between Pineapple Express and one of those westerns from the 70s.

Who really knows because it still has some time before it’s actually shot so maybe those involved with the project will come to their senses or at least make it some type of prequel with the Duke family pre General Lee. Maybe something about uncle Jesse’s troublesome young adult years.
